My Grocery Bill this Week - Saved 72%

Trust me, you can do this too. This weeks grocery bill was $52.82. I saved 72% and brought home $188.66 worth of groceries. Coupons and sales saved me $135.84. Folks, all I did was shopped using my Publix shopping list. I bought less than 5 items not on the list and those items were not on sale or did not have coupons. You can see my list for Publix this week Here.

That's awesome, girl! A couple of things: I've looked at two stores for the Maple & Brown Sugar life and they don't have it - only cinnamon. Have you seen it? Also, the Kashi TLC crackers were not signed at my store; but i asked a manager and he said yes. Then, I got through check-out and noticed they had not rung up BOGO and asked them to adjust, which they did - no problem. So, heads up on that one.

i just seen you on dr. phil today and can't believe how much money you can save. i am a new mommy, laid off, and desperate to learn to save and clip coupons. do you have a "how to" blog that can get me started?

I would also love a step-by-step of how to get started from the very beginning.

And, I have a question: I usually do most of my shopping at Costco to buy in bulk and stock up. Is it really cheaper to buy at a regular grocery store with coupons than in bulk at a warehouse-type store?

I saw you on Dr. Phil today as well. I do the exact same thing you do and have already saved 3432.67 so far this year- and that is only in 2 months!

I think it is becoming COOL to be frugal!

Hi I hope you will respond to this comment. I think your system is great; however, I like many others on the site don't understand why you have the binder and why you keep it but don't take it into the store...
I'm a little confused. I was wondering if you could explain your system a bit more concisely so myself and others could implement the system?? Also What is publix? Is this a store in your area? People all over the country are accessing your site so you might explain some of these types of things in the future to avoid confusion.

Also one question: I started printing coupons a while ago, yet I could only get about 1-3 coupons per page and the cost of ink and paper end up out-waying the savings of the coupons. Is there anyway you have of printing coupons that works differently? Thanks So Much
